Combine the thrill of walking around the summit of Mount Tarawera with a scenic flight which includes spectacular aerial views of Rotorua’s highlights. You will get a wonderful perspective of our stunning crater lakes (see if you can spot all 14!), as well as time to take in the unique Tarawera Falls, where the water erupts from the middle of the cliff before crashing down 65m. We think the colors of the ever vibrant Waimangu Volcanic Valley and Wai-O-Tapu geothermal reserves are best appreciated from above. This tour highlights Rotorua’s amazing features unique to this region because of our location on the Pacific Rim of Fire fault line. Very few other scenic flights can show off native bush, farmlands, a city, numerous lakes, a volcanic caldera, a landing on a dormant volcano, active volcanoes off in the distance, and multiple geothermal parks, all in one hour’s time!
