Catch a glimpse at some of the other 17 lakes around Rotorua over the ridgeline as your pilot explains Lake Rotorua’s position in a (very) old volcanic caldera.

Your adventure continues as you fly over Sulfur Bay, where 60,000 liters of sulfur naturally pump into the lake every hour, providing a beautiful contrast with the blue waters of Lake Rotorua. Enjoy the geothermal activity from above, take in the streets of Rotorua, and the Government Gardens before your plane begins its gentle descent to land back on the water.
